(This Site is Currently in Creation. Thank you so much for your patience.)
On Sept. 5, 2005 I quit using the hardcore drugs that had consumed my life. I didn't go to Rehab, I did it myself- without therapeutic support or know-how. If I can do it, anyone can. This site & future workbook will help anyone who wants to be clean, sober, do so, but with the knowledge of everything I wish I'd known or had access to at the time. Good luck. You can do it, no reason not to. Seriously- there isn't a reason NOT to.
Please check out my blog using the link above: "The Long Hard Road to Paradise". I have also added a Contact page and links to organizations that are willing to help you as well using the "External Safe Havens" link above. Thanks for visiting, & check back often for more information as I am working daily to add to this site. -JVDG
I'd originally planned for this self-help guide to be a purchased e-book manuscript, mainly because I need extra income due to being on disability and living with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Pain, and an ever-growing tumor on my Pituitary Gland... but I realize there are so many people fighting addiction and might not be able to purchase the book- and I'd rather help people recover than use it as a personal fund-raiser. It was a hard decision but I believe it is the right one and so this DIY Guide to Sobriety will remain free so anyone can have access. It's only fair- and I must stay true to my beliefs. I hope you come back and read as I update the site and feel free to contact me, I'm a good listener, and I don't believe in condemning anyone or preaching as if I am above others. Be good to yourself. No matter how long it takes, you can do it- you are worth it.
